Skirting, doors, frames, architrave and stairs. Hard wearing finishes on the surfaces that get touched the most.
Wallpapering
Feature walls and full rooms. Patterns matched, seams tight, hung straight.
Prep and repairs
Filling, sanding, caulking and priming. Paint never hides poor prep, so Mark does not skip it.

Not sure what shade to go for? Mark will tell you honestly what will work in your room, which whites are actually white, and where a bold wall earns its keep.

Good decorating is mostly preparation.

Protect.
Floors covered, furniture wrapped, sockets masked. Your home stays your home.

Prepare.
Washing down, filling and sanding. The unglamorous work that makes paint look good.

Prime.
The right base coat for the surface, whether that is bare plaster, old gloss or new timber.

Paint.
Quality trade paints, applied properly, with the number of coats the job actually needs.

Perfect.
A final walk round. Snags sorted before Mark calls it finished.

Mark recently painted two bedrooms for us having been recommended by a neighbour. Communication was very straightforward and clear. There was a reasonable amount of preparation work to be done, with peeling backing paper in one room and cracked plaster in the other. Mark showed excellent attention to detail and filled in some big holes in fiddly area round the windowsill which is now indistinguishable from the wood. The kids are absolutely delighted with the finish and we'll be getting Mark back for the next rooms.
